Healthcare Services
Abingdon has been thoughtfully planned to encourage every member's enjoyment of life in a community that fosters dignity and supports developing friendships. Providing the services, comfort, and reassurance of a warm, home-like environment allows our residents to enjoy an active, happy life.
As
a part of our care, Abingdon offers Enhanced
Living, Assisted
Living, and Alzheimer’s
Care and
is supported by an unsurpassed Wellness
Program. Abingdon provides a life experience rich
in activity, freedom and the kind of personal care that
respects one's desire to live independently. Our programs,
designed to enhance the quality of life while maintaining
dignity, support not only the member, but the family
as well.
Our Assisted Living and Alzheimer's care unit each offer private units with private baths and is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our programs are overseen by a medical director and director of nursing (a licensed R.N.)
Independent members enjoy health related services such as physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, blood pressured checks, and other noninvasive assistance. With a site on campus, medical personnel can provide therapy ordered by your private physician, without leaving the comforts of your home. If Home Health Care is required for a period of time, we can assist there as well.
We understand how important this decision can be and encourage you to be in contact with the major organizations that can provide information and help. As a resource to you, the following links will take you directly to the websites of these vital organizations.
